This place is awesome for fast food!
The prices are awesome. The service is awesome and the food is great. I think it is very reasonable. I like you can get a side Ceasar for only $3 and can get a nice malt for less than $4.
Give it a shot! Try none burger items too! -

1. You can't call the restaurant directly. Instead, you get routed to a call center that will not let you talk to local restaurant management about problems.
2. They completely ruined our order, delivered through Door Dash. They have no idea that this has happened, we are not allowed to tell them. All because a likely teenager didn't bother to review the order details.
3. Did I mention this is the third time this has happened at the Solana Beach location?
The Mira Mesa location has never failed like the Solana Beach location. -

San Diego is a very competitive area for food, especially burgers. With CA being the home of In-N-Out, restaurants like The Habit have their work cut out for them. It was for that reason that I was slightly disappointed with the burgers here. My lofty expectations were met with mediocrity. This is not to say the burgers were bad - just average. Nicely juicy, but seemed to be lacking a distinct flavor causing the burger to rely disproportionatly on 'add-ons' and condiments.
The sides and shakes were able to fill some holes that the burgers left. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, and the fries held surprisingly more flavor and better texture than alternative restaurants. I'd recommend the classic chocolate shake, a good price for a much better milkshake than those at In-N-Out.
The real star of this establishment, however, is the staff and service. A slight error caused the manager to come to the table himself to try and fix the problem. He was very accommodating and seemed genuinely concerned with our experience.
Overall, the best way to describe The Habit is 'nice'. Nothing to write home about, but decent food for a mediocre price and good service. -

The Habit is an amazing spot for fresh, delicious food at a reasonable price!!
I went here for the 1st time visiting my lifetime friend Mike Paskin at UCSB when I was a teenager!
We got done playing some beach volleyball and we were starving so I asked where we should go for a lot of tasty food that's not a rip off?!
Paskin said The Habit is a great burger joint and I was sold!
The double char with bacon, cheese, and grilled onions with an order of fries is definitely the 1st meal I had there, which has become a "Habit" ever since;)
I also enjoy the chicken club sandwich on the whole wheat bun or toasted French roll with white American cheese added to it!
The Southwest salad or Cobb salad are done to perfection, which are nutritious and delicious options for lunch or dinner!! The cilantro lime ranch dressing is my favorite!
The fries and onion rings are made to order just like the shakes!
Plus, this place is reasonably priced for the quality of the food and quantity of the food!
